AnaemiaIt has been a few months since my last Newsletter. That is not to suppose that nothing is happening in Basel. It has been an exceptionally busy time especially with the workshops and I am pleased to say that the first 3 have been filmed and in the process of being professionally edited for DVD. The first two are already available for the German speaking public and all five together with the ‘English only’ version will be ready later in the year. Trailers for the first two can be viewed on www.southwoodhealing.de where also will be found the instructions for downloading the full workshop. I usually try and give practical information about a health situation in my letters and one situation which I have been asked to help with more than once in the past months is Anaemia, a shortage of red blood cells, associated with low iron levels in the blood. One person in particular has suffered with this condition for many years and as fast as the doctors correct the deficiency the body rejects the iron and the levels return to an unhealthy low level. First why does the body do this? Its not normal for the body to create a deficiency which is harmful to its own survival unless it has a very good reason for doing so. In the patient I’m referring to the reason went back to when the lady was a little girl. During a holiday she trod on a nail and the family were naturally very concerned and rushed her to a local hospital, explaining that it could be dangerous not to get the iron nail out. No prizes for guessing what happened next. The sub-conscious is alerted to the panic of the moment and takes the decision that if iron is dangerous then it will do what it can to remove iron from its system and it had been doing this very successfully for many years causing all the problems that are associated with low iron levels. Of course the doctors were totally unaware of why the body would do this and even more at a loss to know where the iron was going or how the body managed to filter it from the blood. Second, how does the body remove iron from the blood? Quite simply, release acid into the blood, most properly from the gall bladder. Acid dissolves iron and it would not take a strong acid to do this in a blood situation. This brings us nicely to another interesting fact. I have noticed that people with low iron often have an underlying anger. We know anger releases acid into the system and so as a way to helping a patient with low iron problems investigate their underlying emotions. If anger is involved it could easily be the cause of their Anaemia. Original thinking is the base of human evolution. If it wasn’t we would still be writing on cave walls.
