Complementary Medicine – Releasing the Healing Energies
Complementary medicine is on the rise. Every year new ideas, systems and therapies are put forward as the latest and better way to overcome physical and emotional health problems. Various surveys have shown that more people every year put their trust in a ‘natural’ cure for their problems before consulting modern medical advice or at least are known to be receiving some alternative therapy at the same time.
Why, as we move into the future of a medical world which more than ever before understands the workings of the body and mind are people putting their faith in complementary or alternative health care therapies? Perhaps in this world dominated by chemicals and technology it is time to stop and consider the implications of the new environment we are creating for ourselves. For the most part the public are pleased to accept any aid that at first sight appears to make our world and our lives healthier, more secure. We are pleased to accept any medical advancement that allows us to be born, live and die with our self respect intact and without pain and suffering.
But in order to do this we are changing or bypassing many of the rules of survival. Medical scientists in the main look at the effect of their work on the physical, at the moment of application, to determine if the treatment or therapies are successful. Rarely do they consider the energies that are being suppressed or eliminated to show the benefits of their technology. It also has to be acknowledged that rarely does medical science consider how the state of illness came to be.
